GARDEN CITY, NY; January 9, 2018 —Henry L. Goldberg, a Partner of the firm and Chair of the firm's Construction Law Practice Group, was recently appointed by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) to serve as Chair of its (National) Legal Counsel Committee. In addition, Mr. Goldberg was also appointed as an ad hoc member of its Board of Directors.

The CMAA, based in McLean, Virginia, has been at the vanguard of promoting construction management as a profession, as well as establishing its' standards of practice. In addition, it promotes educational activities and advocacy on behalf of the CM community, enhancing the professional development of its practitioners. Among the CMAA membership are some of the largest construction enterprises in the country, as well as major public and private agencies dedicated to the highest standard of construction management.

Mr. Goldberg has served as legal counsel to the CMAA NY/NJ Chapter for over a decade and will be bringing that experience to CMAA National. Mr. Goldberg stated, “I am indeed honored to accept this challenge and responsibility at this unique juncture in the CMAA’s history. After years of able leadership under the stewardship of prior CMAA President and CEO, Bruce D’Agostino, I look forward to the new leadership provided by recently appointed President and CEO, Andrea Rutledge. I anticipate working with Andrea and the entire Board for the betterment of the profession of construction management throughout the United States.”
