Handful of CardsHow many handfuls of business cards have you collected but never done anything with?
Forget the cards without forgetting the contacts!

Connections are everything in this business.  In fact, making personal connections may well be the most important thing you can get from any industry meeting.

Tell the truth, though.  How many times have you come home from a conference with a handful of business cards and never got around to entering them all into your email or contact manager program?  What happened to those contacts?

Do it automatically!

Now, through the magic of QR Code technology
Expo QR code, (that’s the little square bar codes like the one here that you’re seeing popping up all over the place), you can easily grab, save and follow up on all the contacts you make at Expo, November 6-7, in Teaneck, NJ.

This is one of the best networking events in the industry and if, like many people today, you use a Smartphone, PDA, Tablet or other digital device with a built in camera, the contacts you’re looking for are just a point-and-click away!

At the Expo, you’ll see QR codes on the name tags for anyone who’s pre-registered and you can be sure of having their information in the palm of your hand whenever you need it.

Be sure to pre-register yourself, too, so people will also be able to reach you advance-registration saves you money over registering onsite!

Be sure to prepare your device ahead.

You may need to set your device up ahead of time, though.  Here’s how.

What your device needs is a bar code scanner application that makes use of your device’s built in camera and there are lots of free ones.  Simply go to the application store for your device, (i.e.: Android Marketplace; Apple iTunes; Blackberry App World), and search for bar code scanner.

For example, I use an Android device and simply downloaded the free app: Barcode Scanner v3.6.  Just like that I was ready.  Now, when I scan someone’s contact info QR code it’s automatically added to my phone and email contacts!

No more pocketful of business cards to try to keep up with or enter manually into my contact manager!

Here’s an added bonus.

In addition to the great contacts you’ll make at Expo, the great exhibits, the great breakout sessions and the industry overview from our Keynote speaker, our luncheon speaker will be teaching you how to match all those contact names and faces together so you’ll remember them next time you see them!
